"Ĉionmanĝanta ŝafo" or "Ĉiomanĝanta ŝafo"? LINUX-SRV:~ # LINUX-SRV:~ # echo "hello" | telnet localhost 139 Trying I can click on it and mount the shares.

User Search failed! Escape character is '^]'. Apparently some versions of Windows require the domain and others don't? Why does it mount them with an icon on the desktop when you view the share?

I seem to remember that samba changed password handling a couple of years ago to close a security problem that was caused by Windows using an insecure mode.

I do not suspect it is the problem since it worked fine with older versions of Fedora. Now working on NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE will post back later. –user29600 Jul 8 '11 at 18:25 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up You will be able to see if it is running as the controller for it's domain. tringate View Public Profile Find all posts by tringate #2 22nd October 2009, 09:37 PM tringate Offline Registered User Join Date: Mar 2005 Posts: 40 Because the error As to sharing your folder, I suspect you have a permissions problem.
